Shaykh Al-Bura'ee: Every Scholar From Ahl Al-Sunnah Who Is Not Against Al-Hajuri Is Not With Him Either

Shaykh Abd al-Aziz al-Bura'ee from the Shaykhs of Yemen made a short but insightful remark recently in the following audio, and in particular the third point (mp3):

All praise is due to Allaah, the Lord of the Worlds and I testify that none has the right to be worshipped except Allaah alone, without any partners, and I testify that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger (صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم), to proceed:

Before I begin the lesson, I say: I heard a statement of Abdullah al-Hakami, this one who is in the fort, I do not wish to make the speech detailed, for he has spoken with speech whose dimensions he does not know, and I emphasize that he does not know its dimensions, but I shall mention three statements.

The first: That al-Hakami wishes to take the path of al-Hajuri in reviling the Mashayikh of Ahl al-Sunnah openly whilst seeking excuse privately. For this has occurred repeatedly from al-Hajuri, numerous times, he notified me that he is remorseful over what has occurred from them. So he seeks nearness to a people by (attacking our honour) openly and then he seeks excuse from us privately. And I consider this action of his to be sufficient refutation against his speech, since if he was at ease with his own speech, he would not have made excuses, and this is sufficient in general and in detail.

The second: He mentions seeking recourse (for judgement) to Shaykh al-Fawzaan in the issue of the book al-Ibaanah, al-Hajuri and his associates say that the book al-Ibaanah was not authored except to defend Abdur-Rahmaan [al-Adani], so I say: Know, if you do not already know that al-Hajuri says, "If all of the scholars of the world gathered together in opposition to what I have said regarding Abdur-Rahmaan al-Adani, I would not accept it." So know this, for he is not waiting for al_Fawzaan or other than al-Fawzaan, and nor is the saying your saying of Abdullah al-Hakami. Rather it has reached us that he (al-Hajuri) said, "Even if Ahmad bin Hanbal came..."

The third statement: I affirm that all of the Scholars of Ahl al-Sunnah upon the face of the earth who are not against al-Hajuri are not (on the other hand) with him (either). And I challenge anyone who opposes this. There are those from the scholars who have not entered into the matter, and al-Hajuri is not able to increase numbers thruogh them, but the remaining ones have spoken about him. For this reason, I corroborate that all of the Scholars of Ahl al-Sunnah upon the face of the earth who are not against al-Hajuri are not (on the other hand) with him (either). And I challenge the one who opposes this. Let the one who is present inform the one who is absent and let whoever wills quote this statement to wherever he wills.

This is what I wished to make notification of. And all praise is to Allaah, the Lord of the Worlds.

The third point is highly significant and it is a silencing of the extreme, vocal, yet dumb Haddaadis in the East and in the West (such as Millington and his band of Twitter warriors) who think that al-Hajuri's visits to the Shaykhs of Ahl al-Sunnah in Saudi are of benefit to him. Many of those Shaykhs do not know from al-Hajuri what they know to be bid'ah and dalaalah and whilst they are not against him (for the obvious reason) they are not, at the same time, with him either and they do not support him in his manhaj and his approach. In fact some of them like Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan have statements of refutation of some of the views of al-Hajuri (such as on the issue of Uthmaan instituting the first adhaan), though they do not know that it is al-Hajuri (and his students) who are spreading such statements, rather fighting as if by tooth and nail, to argue for them. So this is the reality and as the Shaykh said, the challenge is upon the Hajaawirah to find a single Shaykh from Ahl al-Sunnah who agrees with the manhaj of al-Hajuri and is with al-Hajuri.
